Visa is required for traveling to Bhutan and it is processed to concern authorities by our Bhutanese Partnner. No foreign mission abroad grants Bhutan tourists visa.
Tourists are required to fill the visa application form send by us or send us the passport details such as: name in full, permanent address, place of birth, date of birth, nature of passport, passport No. Date of issue, place of issue, date of expiry, profession/occupation, period for which visa is required, entry point and exit point prior to 3 weeks to process it by us with concern authorities.
Actual visa is stamped on your passport on arrival in Bhutan with a visa fee of US$ 20 for 14 days. Visa can be extended with additional fee of US$ 15.
For all travelers, entering Bhutan is by Druk Air, the visa clearance is forwarded to concerned overseas Druk Air stations and without clearance number passengers are not allowed to board the flight. Visa clearance is also required while issuing Druk Air tickets.
For travelers entering into Bhutan by surface through Phuntsholing (border town in south with India) the visa is stamped on arrival. The clearance is forwarded to Foreign Ministry?s Office at Phuntsholing for reference prior to arrival. You will be asked to produce 3 copies of original passport size photos at the time of issuing visa.
